Now there will be a real ruckus on SIR in Bengal, the game of Didi is still pending!

The uproar on the ongoing SIR in Bihar is a trailer of that big picture, in which Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi are seen as a hero. The big and real picture of this exercise is yet to be seen, because now SIR is going to be held in Bengal after Bihar, for which the Election Commission has started its preparations. Along with this, now the Chief Minister of Bengal Mamata Banerjee is going to take over the protest, in which the game will be done.

Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi are on opposing SIR in Bihar. He is also doing his work well, but his weakest link is that both leaders are opposition. Rahul Gandhi is the Leader of Opposition at the Center and Tejashwi Yadav in Bihar. As the Leader of Opposition, he has some limitations, in which he cannot put any kind of pressure on any officer of the state. The result is that they have to take out the voter rights journey and whatever things are, they have to go and do it between the public.

Will the same happen in Bengal? This question is because the Election Commission is going to do special intensive revision in Bengal as well. For this, the Election Commission has asked the Chief Secretary of Bengal and District Election Officers to prepare and directed that if the recruitment is to be done for SIR, then they should also be started immediately.

Chief Electoral Officer of Bengal Manoj Aggarwal has also written a letter to the District Election Officers of all the districts of Bengal on August 27. Also, Bengal Chief Secretary Manoj Pant has also written a letter saying that the Bengal government will have to start preparations for this, in which it is to be recruited on vacant posts, but will it be easier for the Election Commission to get SIR in Bengal as easier. The answer is not … One is Mamta Banerjee and her party TMC are the only opposed to this entire SIR process. Second, when the Election Commission asked the Bihar government to get SIR done, the Bihar government did not object because Bihar has an NDA government, headed by Nitish Kumar. So there was no question of protest there.

Mamta Didi is in Bengal. He himself is opposed to this process. In such a situation, getting their own officers persuaded for SIR can prove to be crooked for the Election Commission. Even if the Election Commission starts this process with the Chief Secretary of Bengal, State Election Commissioner and District Election Officer by citing constitutional institutions… then it will be in the hands of the officers who report directly to Mamata Banerjee.

In such a situation, it will not be easy for the Election Commission to make your point to the Bengal officials. At the same time, Turra is that there is no long time left in the assembly elections in Bengal. Assembly elections are due in March-April 2026 next year. This entire process of improving the voter list will have to be completed before the election. The history of Mamta Banerjee’s history of fighting with the central government, central institutions and investigative agencies is enough to tell that the process of SIR in Bengal will not be easy at all.
