Operation Sindoor honors in Independence Day, getting valor medal, President Murmu will announce announcement
On the eve of Independence Day, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country i.e. President Draupadi Murmu will announce the valor medal of the heroes of Operation Sindoor. The Ministry of Home Affairs has also announced the bravery medal for the brave soldiers of the Central Paramilitary Forces who participated in Operation Sindoor. According to the list released by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the names of the heroes of Operation Sindoor will be awarded this time, while more than 1000 soldiers have been honored with different respects.
War Time Gallantry Award for Operation Sindoor
On the eve of 15 August i.e. Thursday (July 14, 2025), the War Time Gallantry Award for Operation Sindoor can be awarded, that is, the Bravery Award (Paramveer Chakra, Mahavir Chakra etc.) given in the war period can be awarded.
The War Time Galentry Award is the biggest award. Earlier, Mahavir Chakra was given the second largest medal in the time of Galwan. At the same time, the last time Paramveer Chakra was given in Kargil. Colonel Santosh Babu, who received Veeragati in Galwan after the Kargil war, was posthumously awarded the Mahavir Chakra in the year 2020-2021.
16 medals for BSF for Operation Sindoor
According to the statement issued by BSF, ‘BSF has received 16 medals for valor. In Operation Sindoor, indomitable courage has been appropriately rewarded by the brave border guards. Apart from this, BSF officials and personnel have been given 5 from the President’s Medal for Special Service and 46 medals for commendable service.
Which award heroes likely to get?
The biggest award of the WarTime Gallantry Award is, which includes Param Vir Chakra, Mahavir Chakra, Veer Chakra and Army Medal. Paramveer Chakra is at number one in this category. It is followed by Mahavir Chakra and then the third largest wartime award is Veer Chakra. It is believed that after the defeated pilots and operation vermilion of Pakistan, the head of India will be given this to the war heroes who raise elevated in the whole world.
Apart from these, Ashok Chakra is given the biggest award in Peace Time. Then brave soldiers are awarded with Kirti and Shaurya Chakra. This will be the first time after the Kargil War, when the Galantry Award of WarTime can be given. This is followed by Army Medal in the Army, Air Force Medal for Air Force, Navy Medal for Navy and Coast Guard for Coast Guard.

He delivered ammunition to the colleagues posted at the forward location despite being injured in a mortar fire in Pakistan during Operation Sindoor. In such a situation, the ammunition supplied by them caused tremendous damage to the posts of the Pakistani army.
