PM Modi will give new railway services to Rajasthan, will show green signal to three new trains from Banswara
Taking another historic step towards expanding modern and high speed rail services across the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch three new rail services through video conferencing from Banswara in Rajasthan on Thursday (September 25, 2025). Prime Minister Modi will flag off these inaugural special rail services.
On this occasion special ceremonies will be held in three different cities of Rajasthan. These trains running from Jodhpur, Bikaner and Udaipur will not only give passengers experience of fast and comfortable travel, but will also ensure better connectivity than Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur, National Capital Delhi and Chandigarh.
Where new trains will run from where
Jodhpur-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express
The inaugural special train (04861) will depart from Jodhpur at 2:30 pm on Thursday (25 September). This train will reach Jaipur at 7:05 pm and will move ahead of Jaipur at 7:10 pm and reach Delhi Cantt at 11:10 pm.
The stop of this train will be in Medta Road, Degana, Makrana, Phulera, Jaipur, Alwar, Rewari and Gurgaon. The inaugural rail service will have 7 AC Chair Car (CC) and 1 Executive Chair Car (EC). Regular service number 26481/26482, Saturday (27 September 2025) will run between Jodhpur-Delhi Cantt six days a week (except Tuesday).
Bikaner-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express
The inaugural special train (04751) will depart from Bikaner at 2:30 pm on Thursday (25 September) and will reach Delhi Cantt at 9:05 pm. The stop of this train will be in Sridungargarh, Ratangarh, Churu, Sadulpur, Loharu, Mahendragarh and Gurgaon. There will also be 7 AC Chair Car (CC) and 1 Executive Chair Car (EC) coach. Regular service number 26471/26472 will be operated between Bikaner-Delhi Cantt from Sunday (except Wednesday) from Sunday (28 September).
Udaipur City-Chandigarh Special Rail Service
The inaugural train (09671) will leave Udaipur City on Thursday (September 25) at 2:30 pm and will reach Chandigarh at 8:15 am the next day. The return journey (09672) will leave Chandigarh on Friday (September 26) at 11:20 am and reach Udaipur at 5:25 am on Saturday (27 September).
The train will stop at Ranapratnagar, Mavli, Kapasan, Chanderia, Bhilwara, Bijayanagar, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Phulera, Jaipur, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Dausa, Bandikui, Rajgarh, Alwar, Rewari, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Jind, Narwana, Kaithal, Kurukshetra and Ambala.
The opening special train will have a total of 22 coaches, including 2 seconds of tier AC, 6 third tier AC, 2 third AC economy, 6 sleepers, 4 general, 1 powerkar and 1 guard box. Regular service (20989/20990) will run between Udaipur-Chandigarh in the form of a two-weekly superfast express from Saturday (27 September).
Union ministers will attend ceremonies
Rail, Communications and Electronics Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will be present in the ceremony to be held in Jodhpur. At the same time, the Minister of State for Law and Justice (Independent Charge) and Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal will be involved in the ceremony to be held in Bikaner.
North-west railway official gave information
Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, said, ‘These three new railway services will provide fast, safe and better travel options for the passengers of Rajasthan. These will not only make traffic to big cities like Delhi and Chandigarh, but will also give new incentive to tourism and business.
