‘PM Oli give immediate resignation’, former diplomat of India said this about China on Nepal’s plight
Deepak Vohra, a former diplomat of the Indian Foreign Service, has expressed serious concern about the current situation of Nepal. He said that Nepal is struggling with big challenges like unemployment, corruption and inflation today and its biggest impact is on the younger generation.
Vohra said that the unemployment rate in Nepal has reached 60 percent. Pointing to corruption, he said that medicines and beds are not available in government hospitals, bribes have to be given for admission in government schools. He said that the agricultural system of Nepal is badly affected and the continuous earthquakes have worsened the situation. He said, ‘India always helps first, but many times it was seen selling relief material there.’
The purpose of using Nepal against India
Vohra also questioned the role of China. He said, ‘China does not matter how many people die in Nepal or are hungry. Its purpose is only to use Nepal against India. The former diplomat directly targeted Nepal Prime Minister KP Oli and said that he should resign immediately.
He said, ‘This is the era of social media. You closed social media, this will further enrase people. Senior police officials have also said that we will not shoot children. Oli Saheb should now think Nepal First, not only his chair.
Remembering 2015 Nepal earthquake
Vohra reminded that in the 2015 earthquake, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had decided to send relief material in just 15 minutes. At that time, the Prime Minister of Nepal had said that Nepal is lucky that India is its neighbor.
He has appealed to the Nepali people that India stands with them and does not want to take advantage of them. He said, ‘Do not trust China, it will only use you. India talks about startup and development for the future of youth, while China first cuts the throat and later asks who it is.
