Red-Orange zone due to heavy rains in Telangana, next 48 hours will be heavy, Meteorological Department warns
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to heavy rainfall during the next 48 hours in various areas of Telangana. The authorities have appealed to the citizens to take necessary steps to take precautions and to prevent possible floods or water logging.
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in the districts included in the Red Zone such as Siddipet, Kamaredi, Manchreal, Jagatial, Rajanna Sirsila, Nirmal, Warangal, Hyderabad, Rangaiddy and Vikarabad. Continuous rains in these areas can cause flood -like conditions. Officials have advised the residents of these districts to be particularly vigilant.

Similarly, Orange Zone includes Karimnagar, Adilabad, Peddapalli, Bhupalpalli, Medak, Suryapet, Mehboobabad, Khammam and Bhadradri Kottagudem. There is a possibility of a lot of rain in these districts too, which can be higher than normal. All the remaining districts are kept in the Yellow Zone, where moderate level of rain is expected.
The Meteorological Department has advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and keep an eye on the environment around them. Especially those living in lower areas should prepare in advance to avoid the danger of water logging and floods. The local administration has also been instructed to improve the drainage system and keep emergency services ready.

Citizens of Hyderabad have been requested to monitor the weather conditions and follow the government guidelines. Telangana police and disaster management teams are ready to deal with any emergency. Citizens are requested to immediately inform the local authorities about any suspicious situation. The Meteorological Department says that this rain is the result of an active monsoon system, which will affect the state for the next few days. The public has been appealed for cooperation and caution.
