Rinku Singh, a few hours after the announcement of Asia Cup team, flopped badly in the first match

Rinku Singh has flopped badly after a few hours of selection in Asia Cup 2025. Rinku has not been able to prove his selection right in the Asia Cup squad, as he has been dismissed for just 23 runs in the second match of UP T20 League 2025. On Tuesday, Meerut Mevrix faced Lucknow Flacs, in which the Meerut team scored 150 runs while playing first. The player Swastik, who scored the most runs for this team, was 32 runs.

Rinku Singh is captaining Meerut Mevrix, he came to bat on number-4 in the match against Lucknow Fee Splash. He scored 23 runs in 19 balls and in this innings he hit only 3 fours. He was bowled clean by Lucknow bowler Parvar Singh. Meerut scored 225 runs in the first match of the tournament, but Rinku Singh’s batting was not done in that match.

Rinku Singh flopped as a finisher

Rinku Singh scored just 206 runs in 11 innings for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2025 and failed to finish the match on several occasions. Talking about international T20 cricket, Rinku has been able to score only 67 runs in the last 5 innings and the last T20 FIFTI came against Bangladesh in October 2024 with his bat. Rinku Singh would like to make a good impact for the Indian team in the Asia Cup by taking the status of a finisher, but his recent figures have not been very good.

Rinku Singh has so far scored 546 runs in his 33 -match T20 career, including 3 half -centuries and his strike rate is more than 161. It will be interesting to see what order Rinku Singh will get to bat in the Asia Cup squad equipped with big stars.
