Road pits will be filled in this city with Rs 1100 crore, government has announced

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivkumar has announced that Rs 1,100 crore will be allocated for repair and construction works for the purpose of promoting road development in Bengaluru. In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, he assured that the state government is committed to building smooth and pit free roads across the city.

Shivkumar said, “For the purpose of promoting road development in Bengaluru, an amount of Rs 1,100 crore has been allocated and we are committed to ensure that every constituency gets the benefit of these funds and facilitated, pit free roads are built across the city.”

Spending on roads repair and construction

According to the deputy CM, Rs 50 crore has been sanctioned for each of the 14 assembly constituencies, while the remaining constituencies will get Rs 25-25 crore. Shivkumar said that this amount will be spent on repairing roads and construction of new roads.

Bengaluru, which is called the IT hub of the country, the shabby condition of the roads there has been a big issue for a long time. During the monsoon, the pits in the roads, traffic jams and accidents become common. After repeated complaints from the citizens, the government has now assured to take concrete steps in this direction.

People will get relief in festive season

DK Shivkumar also said that this fund will be implemented directly through the municipal bodies and strict monitoring will also be done to ensure the quality of the work. The government plans to complete the work of repairing primary roads in the next few months, so that citizens can get relief during the upcoming festive season and rainy period.

This decision will not only improve the traffic system, but will also enhance the image of the city. The Deputy Chief Minister also appealed to the people for cooperation and assured that changes will soon be seen.
