Satvik-Chairag pair made a long jump in BWF rankings, return in top-10

Asian Games gold medalist and India’s star badminton pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have made a three -place leap in Mains doubles in the latest BWF rankings. The pair has now reached number 10.

This was his third semi -final this season. Earlier, he also reached the last four in the Singapore Open and India Open. After winning the Thailand Open last year, the Indian pair also achieved the world’s number-1 rankings.

India’s top ranked singles player Lakshya Sen has also jumped two places in the latest rankings and made it to 17th position. He now has 54442 points, which is a little ahead of Jhenjiang Wang of China. Wang has jumped 5 places this week. At the same time, veteran shuttler HS Prannoy has also climbed two places to make it to world number 33. He has now been 40336 points.

In Women’s Singles, 17 -year -old Haryan’s emerging star Unnati Hooda has made a jump of four places. He has achieved the best 31st ranking of his career. Unnati surprised everyone by defeating the Double Olympic medal winner PV Sindhu 21-16, 19-21, 21-13 last week. The match lasted for 1 hour and 13 minutes.
