Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has expressed concern on Wednesday (September 3, 2025) over the floods in many states of India and the problems being faced by the people. Shivraj Chauhan said that there is a situation like floods in the states of North India, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Delhi.

Crops were submerged in more than 1.50 lakh hectares of area- Shivraj

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, ‘There is a flood situation in the border districts. Life is disturbed. The public is in crisis. Farmers are in crisis. According to the information received so far, crops have been submerged in more than one and a half lakh hectares of area. He said, ‘The central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi stand with the public in this hour of crisis. The states of North India, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Delhi are also flooded.

Tomorrow, Union Minister will go to inspect the flooded areas of Punjab

Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, ‘I am going to flood -affected areas of Punjab on Thursday (September 4, 2025). I want to say to my farmer brothers, sisters, my people that the situation of the central government is watching. Apart from this, we will take all possible measures to take the public over this crisis with the state government.

Floods in many parts of the country due to torrential rains

For some time, torrential rains have continued in many parts of India. Due to this, there has been flood in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab. At the same time, there is a flood -like situation in the areas of Haryana and Delhi. Apart from the north part of the country, people in Maharashtra in the west part also caused trouble to the people. The crops in thousands of hectares of land of farmers were completely ruined due to heavy rains and floods. At the same time, local governments are also engaged in relief rescue work of people trapped in floods.
