‘Siddaramaiah mourned that Gandhi’s assassination …’, BJP retaliated on Karnataka CM’s statement
BJP National General Secretary (Organization) B.L. Santosh targeted Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who criticized Prime Minister Modi for praise of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on Saturday (August 16, 2025) and said that the Sangh will remain the BJP’s ideological, intellectual and functioning basis.
Santosh said that the people of the country have accepted the ideology of the RSS. He said this in a program organized on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The BJP leader said, ‘Our Chief Minister (Siddaramaiah) was grumbling that Gandhi was murdered by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Yesterday the Prime Minister took the name of the Sangh. He took a name in Delhi, it seems that the Chief Minister is burning in Bengaluru.
Angered by CM PM’s speech of these states
Addressing the gathering, he said that not only Siddaramaiah, but Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee are also angry.
He said, ‘I want to tell Siddaramaiah through this gathering that the Sangh will always be the ideological, intellectual and functioning basis of the BJP. It will always be present. It has entered the mainstream of national life. Most of the people of the country have accepted this ideology. Therefore, the tweet of your colleagues in Kerala, Tamil Nadu or Bengal cannot distract the minds of the people.
RSS world’s largest NGO
Prime Minister Modi on Friday described the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as the largest NGO in the world in a address to the nation from the Red Fort on 79th Independence Day. Siddaramaiah reacted on Friday, saying that the Sangh is the world’s biggest political gain, hatred and the most divisive, non-rated, taxless and a conspiracy to raise Indians against each other.
