A petition has been filed against the President of the Congress Parliamentary Party in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court, alleging that her name was registered in the 1980 voter list while the Indian citizen was made in 1983.

A case has been filed in the court of Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Vaibhav Chaurasia on behalf of advocate Vikas Tripathi. The case has been filed under Section 175 (4) of the Indian Civil Protection Code, in which the magistrate has the rights to order an inquiry.

Lawyer gave important arguments in court
The lawyer appearing on behalf of the petitioner in the Rousse Avenue Court said that some documents make it clear that Sonia Gandhi received Indian citizenship in 30 April 1983. Despite this, his name was recorded in the 1980 voter list in the New Delhi parliamentary constituency, which was removed in 1982 and was re -added after taking citizenship in 1983.

In the court, the lawyer questioned which documents were given to the Election Commission to add his name to the voter list in 1980. The lawyer also alleged that there was some fraud here and a public authority has been cheated.

The lawyer registered a case and demanded an inquiry
In the Rousse Avenue Court, the petitioner’s counsel urged the court that the police should be directed to register an FIR in appropriate sections. Also, a status report can be sought from the police in the interim period. Actually, this application was earlier heard on August 29, at that time the court had said that the matter is about 230 pages, so the court needs time to see it, after which the court has now spoken about September 10 in this matter. In this case, party Sonia Gandhi and SHO of IP Estate Police Station have been made.
