Tata Curvv.ev: The Second Tata Electric Car Based on Advanced Pure EV Architecture, acti.ev, After Tata Punch.ev

The Tata Curvv ev has arrived, marking Tata Motors’ fifth electric model after the Tiago.ev, Tigor.ev, Punch.ev, and Nexon.ev. Priced between Rs 17.49 lakh and Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Curvv.ev stands out as the second Tata electric car based on the advanced pure EV architecture, Acti.ev, following the Punch.ev. Bookings for the Tata Curvv.ev will commence on August 12, with deliveries starting on August 23.

Tata Curvv ev Performance

The Tata Curvv ev is powered by a 167 PS motor, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.6 seconds. It offers two battery pack options: 45 kWh and 55 kWh. The 45kWh version boasts a claimed range of 502 km (ARAI), while the 55kWh version offers a range of 585 km (ARAI). The 55kWh battery pack includes prismatic cells (1.2C rated) for faster charging speeds, enabling the car to charge from 10% to 80% in just 40 minutes or provide a quick top-up of up to 150 km of range in just 15 minutes.

The Curvv.ev features three drive modes – Eco, City, and Sport – along with multi-mode regen with paddle shifters. Tata claims that the Curvv.ev offers an estimated real-world range of 400km to 425km with the 55kWh battery pack.

The Tata Curvv ev sports a coupe SUV design with smart digital lighting, including connected DRLs with welcome and goodbye animations, smart charging animation, sequential turn indicators, LED projector headlamps, LED front fog lamps with cornering function, digitally connected LED taillamps with animation, an electric front charging lid with auto-open and closing, flush door handles, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The ground clearance is 190 mm for the Curvv.ev. 45 and 186 mm for the Curvv.ev. 55.

Exterior color options include Virtual Sunrise, Pure Grey, Pristine White, Flame Red, and Empowered Oxide.

Inside the cabin, features include front ventilated seats, a six-way power adjustable driver seat, cooled glove box, front and rear fast charge C type 45W, 60:40 rear split seats, and two-stage rear seat reclining. Additional highlights include a digital steering wheel, 12.30-inch cinematic touchscreen by Harman, 10.25-inch digital cockpit, phygital control panel, voice-assisted panoramic sunroof with mood lighting, and a smart digital shifter. Automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, fully automatic temperature control with express cooling, and cruise control are also included.

The electric SUV comes with V2L and V2V capabilities as standard across all variants. Other features include smartwatch connectivity, powered-tailgate with gesture activation, and segment-leading boot space of 500 liters, plus an additional 11.6 liters of space in the frunk at the front.

Tata Curvv.ev Safety

Tata Motors is known for producing safe cars, and the Curvv.ev continues this tradition with safety features such as six airbags as standard across all variants, all-wheel disc brakes with brake disc wiping, acoustic vehicle alert system (AVAS), SOS call function, electronic stability program, front parking sensor, and electronic parking brake with auto hold function as standard. Additionally, it includes hill hold assist, hill descent control, and Level II ADAS with 20 features.

Tata Curvv.ev Warranty

The Curvv.ev offers a warranty of 160,000 km or eight years on the battery pack and motor, along with a standard vehicle warranty of 125,000 km or three years.
