India’s largest IT service company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is about two percent or 12,261 employees of its global workforce this year, most of which will be of moderate and senior levels.
The number of TCS employees was 6,13,069 by 30 June 2025. In the recently ended April-June quarter, the company increased its number of employees by 5,000.
TCS said in a statement that this step is part of the company’s comprehensive strategy to become an organization ready for future. Under this, attention will be paid to investing in new technology fields, entering new markets, using AI on a large scale, strengthening partnerships, building the next generation infrastructure and reorganizing your workforce model.
The company said, as a part of this journey, we will also remove the colleagues from the organization whose deployment cannot be possible. This will affect about two percent of our global workforce. It will mainly be medium and senior category officers. TCS will provide proper benefits, compensation, consultation and assistance to the affected employees.
