‘Teacher to have lunch with students’, big announcement of CM of this state, reasons for decisions

Telangana Chief Minister A Revant Reddy called upon teachers of government schools on Friday (September 05, 2025) to have lunch with students to ensure the quality of food. Addressing the program organized on Teachers’ Day here, Reddy said that they suffer grief when there are incidents of food poisoning in government schools, while the government is increasing funds for food and other basic requirements.

Reddy, who is also taking charge of the education department, said that he will also visit schools and eat with the students. He said, “If the teachers eat food with the students, it will help in maintaining the appropriate standards of preparing food.”

Teachers will go to Singapore and South Korea every year

The Chief Minister asked the teachers to inform the government about the needs of improving the quality of food and improvement in other facilities. Reddy said that his government is planning to send around 200 teachers to countries like Singapore and South Korea every year to study the best methods in the field of education. Due to quality education, there has been development in countries like Singapore and Japan.

Reddy said that 24 lakh students study in about 27,000 government schools in the state, while 34 lakh students study in 11,000 private schools. He said, “The qualifications of teachers of government schools are usually better than teachers of private schools.”

Former Delhi CM Kejriwal praised

Reddy said that a committee of former Rajya Sabha member Keshav Rao, MLA Qadri Srihari and a committee of officers has been constituted to formulate a new education policy of the state. Reddy cited the success of former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, saying, “He was chosen mainly for the second and third term due to changes in education. He successfully conveyed education to poor sections on behalf of teachers.

The Chief Minister accepted his political ambitions and said, ‘I also have some selfishness. If you do a good job, then there can be a possibility of a second and third term for me. I do not want to hide anything. I will work hard.
