Hyderabad, February 23, 2024: Telangana mourns the tragic loss of G. Lasya Nanditha, a promising MLA representing the Secunderabad Cantonment constituency, who passed away at the age of 37 in a road accident today. The accident occurred on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Hyderabad when the vehicle she was traveling in lost control and collided with the divider.

Nanditha, a member of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party, was revered for her unwavering commitment to public service, particularly in areas such as education, healthcare, and women’s empowerment.

Born in 1987, Nanditha pursued a career as a software engineer after earning her B.Tech degree before transitioning to politics in 2014. Her election as a corporator from Kavadiguda in 2016 marked the beginning of her impactful journey. In 2023, she made history by becoming the youngest MLA in the Telangana Legislative Assembly, further solidifying her position as a rising political figure.

The news of her untimely demise has deeply saddened the state, with Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao extending heartfelt condolences and acknowledging her significant contributions to the party and the state.
