Terror base under the guise of social activism, CIK raids 8 districts of Kashmir, 7 suspects arrested

Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) raided several places on Saturday (September 20, 2025) regarding social media affected social media affected at eight places in seven districts of Kashmir. These raids were conducted after receiving a search warrant from the Honorable Court of Special Judge nominated under the NIA Act, Srinagar. The raid was killed in the case registered under FIR No. 03/2023, Section 505 IPC, 153-A IPC and UA (P) Act under Section 13 and 18 of the CIK Srinagar Police Station.

The case was registered on the basis of a reliable information received by CIK, in which it was revealed that some people in Jammu and Kashmir are misused by the state’s sovereignty and dancing activities to the sovereignty and security of the state under the guise of social activity.

Indication of suspicious relations with terrorist organizations

Secret information indicated their suspicious relations with separatist organizations and banned terrorist organizations. The information has also revealed that some of these users were in touch with Pakistan -based terrorist operators through encrypted messaging applications.

He was found involved in an attempt to spread false narratives, to make youth radical and disturb the public system and peace in Jammu and Kashmir. Eight places were identified and later searched in Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag, Pulwama, Kupwara, Handwara and Shopian.

Terror in the name of social activism

During these discoveries, 7 suspects were detained for questioning. Digital evidence related to investigation was seized. The raids have successfully demolished a dangerous mechanism that fulfills terrorist interests in the name of social activism. The seized digital evidence is expected to get deep clues of the conspiracy and further arrests cannot be denied.

Investigations are on to detect the entire scale of the plot, identify other operators and highlight suspicious communication chains with cross -border operators. Saturday’s action indicates a vision view of zero-oppression against those trying to hide terrorism activities as a legitimate civil society initiative.

Work to promote cross -border terrorism

The CIK emphasizes that such elements not only put peace in danger, but also work to promote terrorism across the border. With the acceleration of the investigation, new revelations about the secret tasks of these pseudo-activists networks and social media users are expected, many of which were trying to infiltrate public discussion under noble objectives, carrying forward the anti-national agenda.
