Indian democracy today is counted among the world’s largest, vibrant and conscious democracy. It is run with the strong foundation of the Constitution, transparency of institutions and awareness of the people. But the irony is that the opposition of the country, especially the Congress and his leader Rahul Gandhi, have been repeatedly waging an unnecessary and fruitless debate by giving false call on democracy and constitution, they keep making baseless allegations not only to surround and convict Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP, but not only the constitutional institutions, procedures and constitutions of the country to surround and convict them, but they keep making baseless allegations against them. Let’s try to stigmatize. Such leaders call for the Constitution, they themselves seem to blow the Constitution and the law. Such a strike on the soul of democracy is a big question on the role of the opposition. Ironically and anxiety, Rahul Gandhi also takes off the anti-country-protesting by opposing Modi-BJP in his foreign visits, causing a huge loss of India’s image abroad and foreigners felt that democracy and constitution in India were collapsing.
Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and his colleagues say that ‘democracy has ended in the country’, ‘Constitution is in danger’, then it seems to be only a political shovel, not any rational criticism. If democracy was really in danger, would they openly criticize the government from every platform? Does institutions like Parliament, Media, Election Commission, and Judiciary have placed their statements? In fact, in 1975, democracy and constitution came under threat when immediate Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi imposed an emergency on the basis of ‘internal disturbance’ under Article 352 to save her government and bypassing democracy and constitution and sent thousands of leaders and innocent people to jail under strict laws. After independence, the first and last time democracy was in danger, then the constitution was also in danger. Instead of peeping into his fall and looking at the Congress past, Rahul Gandhi makes the baseless, misleading and baseless allegations against Modi-BJP to endanger democracy and constitution. In these tragic situations, it would not be an exaggeration to say that the opposition is not trying to defame democracy, not protecting democracy, but to regain its lost support base. In particular, it has become common for the public to mislead the people with the melody of being in the threat of democracy and constitution instead of raising the subjects related to the people in the Lok Sabha or the assembly elections.

Illegal infiltrations of Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal and Myanmar etc. have entered a large amount of enters across the country and in many states. To increase their vote bank, these intruders are getting a place at the instigation of these opposition parties, these intruders have not only received their names in the voter-lips of many constituencies by obtaining documents like Aadhaar, PAN, ration card, voter ID card etc. This is a serious threat to democracy, national security and population balance, the Election Commission has decided to ‘intense revision of voter lists’ in all states, strictnessing its stand on it. In Bihar, he has taken initiative to identify such people, but the opposition has objected to this and also challenged it in the Supreme Court. The court did not stop this action of the Commission.
The opposition has been targeting the Election Commission for a long time, sometimes has been questioning the revision of voter lists on fair voting. Since the election is the ladder of power, the allegation and blast on the Election Commission has become very easy for the opposition due to the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections and irrelevant in many states. Sometimes he raises fingers on the appointments and decisions of the Election Commissioners, sometimes it as a BJP working at the behest of the BJP, sometimes EVMs, IVMs, irregularities in the voter list, delay in giving delays, party survival etc., try to destroy the image of the Election Commission by raising the issue of party bias etc. But the Supreme Court stopped speaking to the opposition by giving green signal to revision of voter list in Bihar.
The role of the opposition is to give direction to the government through creative criticism and alternative policies in democracy. But today’s opposition is neither able to present any concrete plans nor raise these basic issues about the problems of Pakistan-China, neither poverty, nor inflation, inflation, nor unemployment, nor communal harmony, nor the challenge of neighboring countries on the border, nor the problems of farmers, youth and women, nor are they raising these basic issues effectively. Their politics has been limited to opposition only Modi and BJP. When politics is focused on ‘protest’ instead of ‘development’, it becomes a hunger for power, not only public interest.
Opposition parties are constantly aggressive on Modi and BJP. Rahul Gandhi and leaders of other parties try to show this by waving a copy of the Constitution as if the Constitution is in danger and has to save it. But the people of India have now become mature and sensible, they see the difference between good and bad. It has become a habit of the opposition to accuse the BJP like ‘dictatorship’, ‘conspiracy to change the constitution’, ‘anti -people policies’. But every time the public has dismissed these allegations outright by giving a clear majority in the elections. The public knows that operations like Operation Sindoor, Digital India, poor-free India, self-reliant India, women’s reservation, success of G20, action on corruption, free ration for the poor, advanced roads, shining rail and shining rail stations, houses, toilets and water have been possible only by resolution and dedication.
Does Rahul Gandhi or Indie alliance have any concrete economic policy, security strategy, or blueprint of social harmony? Can they tell in which direction do they want to take India, or only Modi is considering the opposition as a policy? The Indian public has become politically mature. She now prioritize solid achievements and foresight rather than emotional and misleading slogans. In such a situation, this propaganda of the opposition is only harming their credibility. The opposition should do positive politics, present an alternative policy, and earn the trust of the people, not to cover the existence of democracy and cover his failures. Politics should be a medium of solution, not just opposition.
