On the occasion of the completion of 100 years of the establishment of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat while addressing a program organized by the Sangh said that the Sangh works to connect the society, but does not directly interfere in the functioning of any organization. In the current scenario, this statement is also considered important because on many occasions, the opposition is attacked by the government that the government works at the behest of the Sangh.

Mohan Bhagwat made it clear that the work of the Sangh is not to interfere in the government. He said, “Swayamsevaks are working in many areas. Their job is his, it is the credit to them, not to the Sangh. But if there is a shortage, the Sangh has to face infamy. The Sangh does not control the volunteers, nor directly, nor remote. What is going to work. What is going to work, is free. We do not understand. We do not understand them. Bhagwat said that the Sangh is not a faction to control any organization but an attempt to organize the whole of India.

The one who wants to put a Hindu name, he will have to be responsible for the country- Bhagwat

During the program, Mohan Bhagwat also expressed his views on the word Hindu. Mohan Bhagwat said that the word Hindu came from outside, but it expresses our tradition. He said that it has been to accept and respect the tradition of those who believe in all religions and opinions of India. He said, “The one who has to put a Hindu name will have to be responsible for this country. There are converted Muslims in our country, all are made of this soil. Be together, why do you fight waste.”

Hindu identity is a thinking to take everyone along- Bhagwat

Bhagwat said, “When we say a Hindu nation, it does not mean excluding anyone. Hindu identity is not only limited to Hindus but is a thinking to take everyone along. India is identified with diversity in coordination and unity, not from struggle. DNA of India is one for 40,000 years and this is the identity of unbroken India.”

He said, “The thinking like Hindu versus all is not right, first people who call themselves Hindus should make their lives good. When they are organized, those who do not say Hindus will also come together. We do not believe that everyone needs to be the same to be one.”

It is progress to be agreed on one issue of different ideas- Bhagwat

Pointing to the democratic tradition, Bhagwat said, “The separation in the population of 142 crores is not a crime. But when hearing different ideas, an issue is agreed, then the same progress is.” Bhagwat also made it clear that it is not right to say that the country is left only due to the Sangh. The responsibility of the country is for the whole society, the government, leader, party and the public will have to do their work. The Sangh only tries to organize the society. “
