There was an uproar in the plane of IndiGo from Delhi to Kolkata when a passenger suddenly started raising slogans of ‘Har-Har Mahadev’. Drunk passenger also asked the people riding in the plane to raise slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’. When the crew members present in the aircraft refused to do so, he also misbehaved with him. The incident took place on Monday (September 1, 2025) flight number 6E 6571.

What did the airline say about the case,

IndiGo Airline has given a statement in this matter. On behalf of the company, it was said that the lawyer was sitting on the seat of the aircraft 31-D, who misbehaved with the crew members and also harassed other passengers. It is alleged that he brought with him a bottle of liquor, which he had made like a bottle of his soft drink. Meanwhile, when a female crew member questioned the lawyer about this, she also made objectionable remarks for the female crew member.

The airline said, “Under the airline protocol, the passenger was declared a miscreant and on reaching Kolkata, he was handed over to the security officers. After this, a formal complaint in this case was also lodged with the concerned officials.

Our zero tolerance policy towards any derogatory behavior- IndiGo

IndiGo also clarified that the airline adopts a zero tolerance policy towards any such disorganized or derogatory behavior and is committed to ensuring safe, respectable and inclusive environment for all passengers and crew.

Lawyer lodged a complaint against the crew members of the aircraft

However, the lawyer also lodged a counter-complement. He accused the airline that the crew member harassed him. The lawyer also said that the bottle he had was a beer bottle and bought from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, whose alleged bill she also showed.
