‘This is their data, not mine, why should I sign’, Rahul Gandhi said on the notice of Election Commission

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has given a statement on Monday (August 11, 2025) citing notices received from the Election Commission. Rahul Gandhi said that this is the data of the Election Commission, not mine, on which I should sign the affidavit.

He said, “Put this data on your website, you will find out. All this is an attempt to divert attention from the issue. It has happened not only in Bengaluru but also in many other constituencies.”

What did Congress leader Rahul Gandhi say about Election Commission,

After being released from custody, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi while talking to reporters outside Parliament said, “See what is the condition of India’s democracy. 300 MPs wanted to go to meet the Election Commission to hand over only one document, but they were not allowed to leave. Because they are afraid that if 300 MPs reached and their truth came out?”

He said, “This fight is no longer political, but this battle is now for the Constitution and one Man One Vote. We clearly showed in Karnataka that there was ‘Multiple Man, Multiple Vote’. The whole opposition is fighting against it. So it will be very difficult for the Election Commission to hide it.”

Rahul Gandhi expressed gratitude to the colleagues of India alliance

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi thanked all his fellow MPs of the India alliance shoulder to shoulder and thanked them for their heartfelt thanks to fight the fight against votes.

In this regard, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi shared a post on social media platform X. In the post, Rahul Gandhi said, “As I said that this fight is no longer political. It is a fight to protect democracy and voting rights and we will all together achieve it.”
