That is why my confidence increased and the UP T20 League innings strengthened me further.

Rinku’s century after selection

When Rinku’s name came in the Indian team, then Rinku scored his first T20 century in the UP T20 League. He chased the target of 168 runs while playing for Meerut Mavers’. The team lost 4 wickets in the first 8 overs and was under pressure, when Rinku played a brilliant innings. Rinku hit 108 runs in 48 unbeaten 48 balls.

Rinku also said that he could put 1–2 overs in bowling and perhaps that is why he was selected in the team. He informed that now the selectors are giving priority to those players who can do more than one work.

Rinku said, “Today bowling is very important. The selectors want the player to have the ability to play more than one role. If you are not able to change the match with the bat, then contribute with the ball.”
