New Delhi, India, February 8, 2024: A portion of the eastern boundary wall of Gokulpuri Metro Station on the Pink Line tragically collapsed this morning, claiming the life of one individual and injuring several others.

The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m., sending debris crashing onto the road below.

One person, identified as 53-year-old Vinod Kumar, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three others, including Ajit Kumar, Monu, Sandeep, and Mohd Tazir, sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical attention.

At least four two-wheelers were also buried under the debris.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced a compensation of ₹15 lakh for the victim’s family and financial aid for those injured.
