  • According to the sports bill, the central government will have the power to issue instructions in the national interest. Along with this, the government will also have power to ban.   • The Sports Bill proposed a proposal related to the National Sports Tribunal, which gives the powers to the civil court that it can settle the disputes that come from the selection of federations and athletes to the election. The decision of the civil court can only be challenged in the Supreme Court.
  • A strictness has been implemented in the Sports Bill that all National Sports Federations (NSFs) will have to get permission from the Central Government from the Central Government first from the National Sports Board (NSB).
  • The Sports Minister said that ‘these two bills will be given transparent, reliable and world class sports ecosystem, so that India can be fully prepared for 2036 Olympics’.
