Violent protests in Ladakh, so far 4 killed and many injured, know what is the latest update


The agitation started on Wednesday (September 24) to demand violence, arson and clash on the roads, demanding full state status to Union Territory Ladakh. During this time four people died and at least 80 people were injured. Social activist Sonam Wangchuk was protesting differently for Ladakh for the past several months. Now students have come out on the streets in their support.

During the protest, the students clashed with the police, in which 4 people lost their lives. Many were injured there. According to the report of news agency PTI, 40 policemen have also been injured. In order to bring the situation under control, a large number of police and paramilitary forces deployed tear gas shells across the city.

What did Ladakh Ladakh say on protest

Ladakh Ladakh Lt. Governor Kavinder Gupta strongly condemned the violence erupted in Leh. He warned that strict action will be taken against those responsible for disturbing peace in the Union Territory.

The Lieutenant Governor said, ,We know that everyone has the right to speak in democracy. Even hunger strike is part of democratic traditions. But what we have seen in the last one or two days that people are being provoked, compared to Nepal and Bangladesh, efforts are being made to set fire to private offices and houses, stoning. This is not the tradition of Ladakh.,

Meeting can be held in Delhi on 6 October

The central government can hold a meeting in Delhi on 6 October to demand the protesters. Article 370 and 35 in the year 2029A After the withdrawal, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh were made separate union territories. The government had assured to register the entire state after the situation became normal at that time.
