‘We find pieces of metal’, health deteriorated after drinking cold drinks in the flight; Cain was bought in Spice Jet’s plane
Businessman Abhijeet Bhonsle, a resident of Pune, Maharashtra, was happily returning home after holidaying with his friends, but Spice Jet’s aircraft turned into happiness during his return from the plane and he turned to the hospital bed directly from the seat number 9C of the aircraft.
Actually, the incident took place on Monday (September 8, 2025) in Spice Jet’s Goa-Pune Flight (SG-1080). After drinking soft drinks on the flight, the person’s condition deteriorated and he faced medical emergency.
In flight, cabin crew gave a soft drink to passenger
Abhijeet Bhonsle, who was returning after finishing his holidays with friends, bought a soft drink can from the flight crew during the journey, out of which pieces of metal came out. According to the Times of India report, on Tuesday (September 9, 2025), resting at his home, Bhonsle said, ‘The flight was delayed, but the boarding was completed at 7 o’clock. After 15-20 minutes, the aircraft took off. After this, the cabin crew started giving refreshments to the passengers. I bought a can from them and a packet of makhana.
The victim told the whole incident of that day
He said, ‘As soon as I drink some sips of soft drinks from Can, I started feeling jealous of my neck. After this, the more soft drinks I continued to drink, the more burning increased and my stomach started to ache. In a short time my pain became completely unbearable. My friends Mahesh Gupta and Raj Kumar Aggarwal, next to me, decided to take action, understanding the seriousness of the situation.
He further said, ‘Mahesh Gupta, who is my neighbor, examined the food. In this, we found many pieces of metal in soft drinks. After this, we emptied Cain in front of the cabin crew and shook it. The sound of rattle was heard from it. We wanted to keep that can with us as a proof, so that we can complain about this to the competent officials. But the crew snatched the can of soft drinks from us saying that it is the property of the airline.
The victim’s friend gave information
At the same time, Mahesh Gupta said, ‘The flight landed at its destination at 7.50 pm. The airline had arranged an abscess and sent Abhijeet Bhonsle to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune for treatment. Our friend Raj went to the clinic with him, but I stopped at the airport, so that I could get his soft drink can from the flight crew. But all my efforts were useless. After this I complained to the officials of Spice Jet and informed them about the whole matter.
