Weather IMD Alert: Storm arising in the Bay of Bengal, will come to Dussehra, know which states are in danger
Most areas of North India still continue to rain. Regarding this, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) says that this year the monsoon will not be able to return, because a new seasonal system is being formed over the Bay of Bengal. IMD says that a long period of rain can resume in many parts from Maharashtra to Central India and eastern India. Due to this, there may be a delay in monsoon withdrawal.
The southwest monsoon begins to return from September 15. IMD says that due to this seasonal system, the rainy season can be seen again in many states next week, due to which the festival of Dussehra and Navratri can fade. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in many parts of Bengal next week.
Rain can start again from 25 September
The India Meteorological Department has indicated the start of rain once again between September 25 and October 1 in the forecast released on Thursday. A senior IMD official told TOI that the next week is the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in the middle and northern peninsular India, especially Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Eastern Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
Many seasonal systems in the Bay of Bengal
GP Sharma, president of Skymet Weather Services, said that many more seasonal systems are expected to be formed in the Bay of Bengal during the rest of this month, which can make the monsoon re -active again in eastern, central and western India and may delay the return date. He said that before the formation of this new system, the system will be able to get further strength and both circulation systems can form a strong system, which can lead to a storm. If this happens, this joint system can resume the rainfall in those areas of central and western India from where the monsoon has been farewell.
The forecast states that heavy rains may occur at some places on September 27 and 28. There is a possibility of rain in Mumbai, Central Maharashtra and other parts of Vidarbha.
