Weather Today: ‘Aapat’ in UP-Bihar, floods and thunderstorms in many districts, know the latest weather updates of other states including Delhi

Rainfall continues in many parts of the country. Rains from UP, Bihar to Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand are wreaking havoc. Flood situation has arisen in more than 15 districts of UP. In Delhi today, light to moderate rain alert has been issued from Thursday 21 August to 25 August. The water level of Yamuna river is likely to rise once again. Recently, the water of Yamuna river entered the Yamuna market.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for heavy rains and thunderstorms in 11 districts of UP today. There is a possibility of heavy rains in Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sonbhadra, Ballia, Ghazipur, Chandauli. 15 districts of UP Kanpur, Bahraich, Barabanki, Fatehpur, Badaun, Farrukhabad, Gonda, Hardoi, Kasganj, Kheri, Meerut, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Shahjahanpur and Unnao have been in the grip of floods.

Meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh said that on Thursday, there are forecasts of heavy rains in Central and Eastern UP including Lucknow. There is a possibility of further increase from August 22, while on 23 and 24 August, clouds will rain fiercely from east to west.

Rivers boiled in Bihar
A warning of heavy rains and thunderstorms has been issued in 12 districts of Bihar today. The Meteorological Department has issued alert of heavy rain in Patna, Gaya, Nawada, Aurangabad, Kaimur, Jamui, Banka, Bhagalpur, Munger, Buxar, Bhojpur. The Bagmati river is flowing above the danger mark in Benabad, Bihar. The water level of Kosi river has increased in Kurseli in Katihar. Floods are reported in many places in the lower areas of the Ganges river. Flood is also reported in Matihani of Begusarai.

The chances of rain in Rajasthan today
According to the Meteorological Department, the chances of rain in Rajasthan are less today. However, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of celestial electricity and thunderstorms in some cities.

Possibility of heavy rains in Uttarakhand
There is a possibility of heavy rains in Uttarakhand on August 21. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rains and thunderstorms in Tehri Garhwal, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Nainital, Rudraprayag. People have been appealed to be careful during this period.
