Who killed King Raghuvanshi? Meghalaya Police filed a 790 -page charge sheet; Wife Sonam accuses this
The SIT of Meghalaya Police has filed a 790-page charge sheet in the high-profile honeymoon murder case. This case is related to the murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, who shook the whole country. Police produced the charge sheet in court on Friday (5 September 2025).
According to sources, it is clearly written in the charge sheet that the mastermind of the murder is none other than the king’s wife Sonam Raghuvanshi and his alleged lover Raj Kushwaha. Akash Rajput, Anand Kurmi and Vishal Singh Chauhan helped in executing this conspiracy. A case has been registered against these five accused under sections of murder, evidence and criminal conspiracy. At present, these five accused are in jail in judicial custody.
Supplementary Chargesheet will be filed soon
Police say that a supplementary charge sheet will be filed soon on three more co-accused. These co-accused include property dealer Silomems James, building owner Lokendra Tomar and security guard Balbir Ahirwar. The three are accused of destroying and hiding evidence.
Marriage and honeymoon journey
Raja Raghuvanshi was married to Sonam on 11 May 2025. On the 9th day of marriage i.e. on 20 May 2025, both reached Meghalaya for honeymoon. Three days later, both suddenly went missing on 23 May. On the 9th day of the disappearance, on 2 June 2025, the King’s mutilated body was recovered from the valley near Weisadong waterfall in Sohra in Meghalaya. Sonam had no idea till this news came to light, but apart from Sonam’s boyfriend Raj, Vishal, Akash and Anand were arrested by the police from 8 from Indore. Just a day later, on 9 June, Sonam was found at a dhaba in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh.
