‘Why do these arguments do not apply to China?’, Trump imposed 50% tariff on India on Russian oil

US President Donald Trump has imposed a total tariff of 50 percent on India to buy oil from Russia. Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar told Trump fiercely about this. He said that if the arguments of restrictions and tariffs are given to India, then why do those arguments do not apply to China. Please tell that China is the largest importer of Russian oil, while India is second.

Reacting to oil imports from Russia and US sanctions, External Affairs Minister S.K. Jaishankar questioned America’s policy. He said that it is said to be an oil issue, but China, which buys the most oil from Russia, was not put on any tariff. Then why does the arguments that target India not apply to China?

Jaishankar also commented on the attitude of Europe and America. He said, “If you have difficulty in buying oil or its products from Russia, do not buy. But Europe buys, America buys. If you do not like, don’t buy from us.”
