The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested four absconding accused in the bank fraud case on Monday (September 15, 2025). These four accused are from the same family and were absconding for about 15 years. Those arrested are Rajkumar Churewal, Madhav Churewal, Deepak Churewal and Rajesh Churewal

CBI raided Nagpur and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team arrested these accused from Nagpur district of Maharashtra and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district. According to the information, these four people were accused in the bank fraud case registered in 2004 and 2007. The court declared them all absconding in the year 2010. Apart from these four accused, another member of his family Surendra Kumar Churewal was also accused in this case, but now he has died.

Accused living in different cities by creating fake government IDs- CBI

The CBI said that during the absconding for so many years, these accused made fake government IDs to hide their identity and were living in different cities with fake names. He even took a new loan from the bank by hiding his real identity and did not pay it later.

CBI had placed a reward of one lakh each on the absconding accused

The Central Bureau of Investigation had already declared a reward of Rs 1 lakh for the arrest of all their accused. Recently, the agency came to know about their new name and address, after which the investigating agency raided on Sunday (September 14, 2025) and arrested the four absconding accused.

CBI will present arrested accused in Kolkata court

Now the CBI will present all these arrested accused in Kolkata court. Apart from this, the agency is going to register new cases of fraud, fraud and forgery against them in collaboration with the state police.
