‘Adopt indigenous, strengthen self -reliant India’, what is the Home Minister Amit Shah said about PM Modi’s message

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday (September 21, 2025) urged people to adopt indigenous products in daily use items, as per his appeal made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the nation. Shah said that GST reforms of the next generation will play an important role in fulfilling the resolve of ‘self -sufficient India’.

The Home Minister said that in his address to the nation, Prime Minister Modi called for adopting indigenous and told how the next generation GST will strengthen self -reliance. Shah said that to promote manufacturing, initiative has been taken to reduce GST in areas like agriculture, health, textiles and ‘man made fiber’.

GST reforms strengthened self -reliance

Shah said in a post on ‘X’ with the ‘GST Savings Festival’ hashtag, “The next generation of GST reforms are going to play a big role in the accomplishment of self -reliant India. Modi ji called for adopting indigenous in the name of the nation and told how the GST reforms of the next generation will strengthen self -reliance.

He said that initiatives have been taken to promote manufacturing by reducing GST in areas like agriculture, health, textiles, ‘man-maid fibers’. You should also adopt Swadeshi in your daily use items and make every house a symbol of Swadeshi and contribute to the creation of a self -sufficient nation.

PM Modi’s message to the country

A day before the implementation of GST rate cuts, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday strongly advocated promoting indigenous goods. He said that the next generation GST reforms will speed up India’s growth saga, businessmen will increase ease and attract more investors. In his address to the nation, Modi said that the ‘GST Savings Festival’ will start from the first day of Navratri and it will be ‘double profit’ for most people with income tax exemption.
