He said on Monday (August 25, 2025) that Jagdeep Dhankhar has resigned due to health reasons. Along with this, the Home Minister also rejected the claims of the opposition that he is under house arrest.
In an interview to news agency ANI, the Home Minister said, ‘Dhankhar Saheb’s resignation is clear in itself. He has cited health reasons for his resignation. He has also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister and other ministers and members of the government for his good tenure.

Jagdeep Dhankhar was in a constitutional post and he discharged his duties according to the Constitution. He resigned for personal health reasons. This issue should not be discussed much.
