Officials said that on Tuesday (September 16) before the reshuffle in the cabinet, A.K. l. Eight ministers, including Heck, Paul Lyngdoh and Amparin Lyngdoh, have submitted their resignations.

He said that the Chief Minister of the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance led by NPP, Chief Minister Konrad K.K. Sangma met Governor CH Vijay Shankar on Tuesday (September 16, 2025) at Raj Bhavan in Shillong and submitted the resignations of ministers.

Which minister resigned to the governor

An official said that there is a program to administer the oath to the new ministers at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday (September 16, 2025). At the same time, the second official said, ‘Among the eight ministers who resigned from their posts, NPP’s Amparin Lyngdoh, Comingon Yambon, Rakkam A. Sangma and Abu Tahir Mandal are included. Apart from this, Paul Lyngdoh and Kirman Shayla of UDP, Shakaliyar Varjhi of HSPDP and A. of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). l. Hek is involved.

In Meghalaya, no more than 12 ministers including CM cannot be in the government

According to the rule, the state of Meghalaya, a 60 -member assembly, cannot have more than 12 ministers including the Chief Minister. Amparin Lyngdoh was in charge of Agriculture and Law Department, while Yambon and Rakkam -e -Sangma used to handle the Department of Cooperation and Education respectively. Apart from these, Divisional was the Minister of Energy, Paul Lyngdoh was in charge of the tourism department and Kirman Shayla had the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management. Shakliyar Varjhi was in charge of the Sports Department and AL Heck Animal Husbandry Department.

The official said that with the resignation of these ministers, the way has been cleared for the new ministers to join the cabinet.
