CBI Court order, two property attached to passport officer, illegal assets worth 85 lakhs revealed

The CBI court of Ghaziabad has ordered two properties of senior passport superintendent to be attached. This action has been done in the case of disproportionate assets. The CBI registered the case on 24 March 2025.

It is alleged that the accused officer Deepak Chandra, who was currently posted in the Ghaziabad Regional Passport Office, is now posted in the Mumbai office, he made assets about 1.46 times more than his income. Investigation revealed that he made illegal assets worth about 85 lakh rupees between 30 July 2018 to 30 September 2024.

This was revealed in CBI investigation

During the investigation, the CBI raided the house of the accused, in which about 60 lakh rupees cash was recovered. Apart from this, information about expensive properties and many big expenses was also found. In the CBI investigation, it was also revealed that the accused bought two big properties during this period.

These properties were seized

These properties include Rajnagar Extension, a residential flat in Ghaziabad and a commercial shop in Greater Noida West, Gautam Budh Nagar. These properties were more than their declared income. While hearing the CBI application, the court has ordered to take both these properties.
