The ED has taken raids in Himachal Pradesh and Delhi, taking major action. The raids were conducted on September 19 and 20 at the locations of Delhi based Imperial Group Chairman Manvinder Singh, his wife Sagri Singh and the people associated with him. ED investigation has revealed that Manvinder Singh and his wife have secretly invested in many companies and properties abroad.
These include properties and bank accounts in Singapore, Dubai, British Virgin Island and Thailand. Both of them have got stake in Singapore’s Aerostar Venture PTE LTD and Dubai’s United Aerospace DWC LLC. Through the Dubai company, a network of transactions of crores of rupees, unsecured loans and thick salary payments came to light. In May 2025, the Dubai company bought a Robinson-66 helicopter of Rs 7 crore. This helicopter was brought to India for Auramah Valley Project in Himachal
Where did we get property?
By 31 March 2025, a foreign property worth about Rs 38 crore was recorded with the Dubai -based company. A bungalow named Villa Samayra was found in Koh Samui, Thailand, which costs around Rs 16 crore. According to the ED, it has been revealed from the documents and financial records so far that the price of these undeclared foreign properties is more than Rs 80 crore.
Case of recovering Rs 29 crore in cash
During the raid, ED found evidence of cash transactions from Auramah Valley Project in Shimla, Himachal. Here, a part of the buyers was taken cash on selling flats. The books received by the ED revealed that till now about 29 crore rupees have been recovered in cash. The investigating agency suspects that this money was sent abroad through hawala network and other channels. Later, foreign properties were purchased or brought back to India with these money.
What did ED confiscate?
ED raids Rs 50 lakh in cash, including old 500 rupee notes. Apart from this, US $ 14700 has been received. The agency has seized 3 lockers. Several important documents and bank passbooks have also been recovered. The ED says that the investigation is still going on and there may be big revelations connected to this network.
