Hongkong Open: Satvik-Chirag pair continues to perform well, place in quarter-finals

In the Hong Kong Open 2025, India’s star pair Satvik-Chairg has done well in the men’s pair round of 16 and confirmed its place for the quarter-finals. The pairing of Satwik and Chirag faced the Thailand pair of Pirachai Sukfun and Pakkapone Tiraratsakul in the round of 16 with a total of three sets in the match which lasted for about one and a half hours, which the Indian pair won 2–1.
World number 9 ranking pair Satwik and Chirag suffered a close defeat in the first set against Thailand in the round of 16 in the first set. After this, Satwik and Chirag performed well in the second set, 21-15, with his name, brought the match to 1-1. In the third set, Satvik and Chirag showed a lot of aggressive game in which their smash and sharp reflexes were replied with Thailade pair Pirachai Sukfun and Pakkapon Tilasakul and they suffered defeat by a big margin of 21–11 in the decisive set.
 
Earlier, in the Round of 32, the round of 32, Satwik and Chirag also faced a tough match against the Taiwan pair in which they won the first set by a margin of 21-13, but lost 18-21 in the second set, after which he managed to reach the round of 16 by winning the third set by a margin of 21-10.
The same Satwik and Chirag pair will now face Malaysia’s Junaidi Arif and Roy King Yap pair in the quarter -finals at Hong Kong Open. The pair have confirmed their place for the quarter-finals, beating the pair of Chong Hon Gian and Muhammad Hichael 21–17 and 21-19 in the Round of 16.
