‘India’s policy regarding Palestine for last 20 months …’, Jairam Ramesh targeted Modi government

Jairam Ramesh, the head of the IT department of the Congress, has targeted the Government of India on Sunday (September 21, 2025) over Palestine. Jairam Ramesh said that India’s policy regarding Palestine has been shameful for the last 20 months.

Actually, Australia, Canada and Britain have recognized Palestine as an independent nation. On this, Congress MP Jairam Ramesh posted a post on social media platform X on Sunday (September 21, 2025).

What did Congress MP say about Palestine,

The Congress leader said in the post, ‘Australia, Canada and Britain have just recognized Palestine as an independent nation. With this, more countries are expected to do so soon.

He said, ‘India had given formal recognition as a nation on November 18, 1988 as a nation. But for the last 20 months, India’s policy regarding Palestine has been shameful and it is a symbol of moral cowardice.

PM Modi tightened over Donald Trump

At the same time, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh had taken a dig at PM Modi on Sunday (September 21, 2025) about Donald Trump’s statement in another post. Ramesh said, ‘The Prime Minister is preparing to address the nation, while his good friend in Washington DC has once again snatched his headlines and claimed for the 42nd time that he stopped Operation Sindoor by taking advantage of the growing business with America. President Trump has made this claim not only in the US but also in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Britain.

He said, ‘Will the Prime Minister react to these claims and will speak on the deteriorating relationship of Indo-US? Will they solve the concerns of millions of Indian H1B holders? Will they give any trust to crores of farmers and laborers whose livelihood is in danger due to tariffs imposed by their friend? Or they will repeat the new GST rates that we all know – which were prepared in frustration and which are being implemented since yesterday.
