The Indian Army is also going to join hands with the US Army in the Bright Star Exercise to be held in Egypt (Egypt) before the shared exercise with the US Army in Alaska. From Thursday (August 28, 2025), 700 soldiers of India are participating in this multilet exercise to be held in Egypt.

According to the Ministry of Defense, for the first time in Bright Star Exercise (28 August-September 10), all three organs of the Army, Army, Air Force and Navy are participating. Egypt and the Central Command of American together organize this exercise to be held once in two years. In the year 2023, the Indian Air Force took part in the Bright Star Exercise.

Central Command Area of ​​Operation Pakistan

This is the same Central Command of America, which recently visited the headquarters in Florida by Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir. The area of ​​operation of the Central Command is from Pakistan to Gulf and the entire middle-East. The US and Pakistan have once again come together due to the closeness of Asim Munir, the former commander of this Central Command.

During the Operation Sindoor, due to these closeness, US President Donald Trump’s inclination was visible towards Pakistan. This is the reason why attending the bright star with a big military contingent of India is considered very important. India is already considered strong relations with Egypt. Last year, Egypt has joined the group of BRICS countries, with India, Russia and China founding members.

8000 soldiers will take part in exercise

According to the information, this year, a total of 8000 soldiers from about 43 countries are participating in Bright Star Exercise. This is the 19th edition of this exercise to be held from the year 1980. In the year 1980, it was a bilateral exercise between Egypt and America, but now it has turned into multinational exercises. This is the largest multinational exercise in the Middle East region, which is held together in water, land and sky.

Giving information about the bright star, India’s Defense Ministry said that during exercise, operational capacity will be demonstrated through live firing of the three army organs. Apart from this, joint planning, shared decisions and operational cooperation will be shown through command post exercise. Along with this, short military training and expert-subject discussions will also be organized with the forces participating in the three organs.

Indian armed forces participation in practice

According to the Ministry of Defense, the participation of the Indian Armed Forces in this exercise underlines India’s commitment to regional peace, stability and security, as well as enhances jointness, inter-operation and cooperation with friendly countries.

It is worth noting that from September 1, the annual military exercise, war-exercise (this name is of exercise) in Alaska from September 1. 400 soldiers of India are participating in this exercise, which is the highest among all the war-work versions so far.
