Emphasizing the process of development of sports culture in the country in a series and sustainable, Sports Minister Mansukh Mandavia said on Friday that a 10 -year and 25 -year plan has been made to include India in the top five sports superpowers with the developed nation by 2047, which will be implemented soon.
Mandavia said that on the completion of hundred years of India’s independence, the target has been given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji to make the country a developed nation and include them in the top five sports countries. A plan has been prepared for this which will soon come in front of the country. To implement this, policy changes have to be made and we will implement it soon.
Here in ‘Sportsstar: Placom Business Summit 2025’, the Sports Minister said that, we have to create a work culture in which the work of finding and carving talent is done in a systematic manner. Along with this, countries around the world come to play leagues in India. We will also have to fully use the skills of our former players doing jobs with sports quota. ”The Sports Minister said that work is being done in a systematic manner to prepare the ecosystem of sports in the country and make sports a part of lifestyle.
He did not stop here and further said that for this, a campaign like Fit India and Khelo India was started in the first phase after Modi ji became Prime Minister. The Target Olympic Podium Scheme (Tops) started to provide all the facilities, experience and modern coaching to the players. After this, when the vision document was needed, we brought a sports policy. The Sports Minister said that, for good administration in sports, the government brought the sports administration bills at the center to focus on the players instead of being in the court controversies.
He said, “Earlier more than 350 disputes of sports federations were in courts. This bill also provides for speedy arrangements for their disposal. There are special provisions to protect the interests of the players and ensure representation of women in sports federations. ”Mandavia said that it is necessary to prepare a strong ecosystem to give opportunity to the talents of far -flung areas in India. He said, “We saw how we are working around the world but made our model. Taking advantage of India’s geographical diversity, it is to ensure the development of sports. In the coming time we can feel the changes in the sports sector. Our goal should be to wave India at every podium. ”
The Sports Minister said, “For this, sports will have to be converted into mass movement. We have to move forward with every stakeholder related to sports and it should be a collective mission so that every citizen is connected and can contribute to the progress of sports in India.
