The political battle between the NDA and the India alliance continues for the Bihar assembly elections 2025. In this episode, BJP has adopted a new strategy and has fielded Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav in Bihar. On September 14, Mohan Yadav reached Patna and attended the big event of Yadav Mahasabha, where many big leaders were also present. This step is being considered as part of the strategy of breaking the BJP’s “MY Equation” (Muslim-Yadav) and the Yadav community.

During Dr. Mohan Yadav’s visit to Patna, BJP organized a large scale to connect the Yadav society. In this event, leaders like OBC Commission National Chairman Hansraj Ahir, Bihar Assembly Speaker Nandkishore Yadav, Chhattisgarh Minister Gajendra Yadav, former Union Minister Ramkripal Yadav and MLA Sanjeev Chaurasia shared the stage. According to the NDTV report, this cultural program had performances focused on Lord Krishna, which also gave a political message.
Emphasis on historical and cultural heritage of Bihar
In his address, Mohan Yadav connected the historical and cultural heritage of Bihar to the BJP’s election agenda. He referred to the shared relationship of Emperor Ashoka, Pataliputra, Avantika (Ujjain) and Bhojpur language, and stated the link of Bihar-Madhya Pradesh.
He said that Bihar is a kingdom associated with Lord Krishna and the son of Lord Krishna built the Sun Temple here. At the same time, he cited the tradition of Buddha, Tirthankaras of Jainism and Chanakya-Nalanda-Taxila. This statement was clearly for the Yadav community and Bihar’s religious-cultural consciousness to show.
BJP’s eye on MY vote bank!
This move of the BJP is directly to help the Yadav vote bank, which has been considered under the influence of Lalu Yadav’s RJD till now. Dr. Mohan Yadav attacked the Ram temple issue, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership ability and the dynastic politics of the Yadav family by calling himself a “ordinary worker”.
Even before this, he had tried to connect the fisherman community by holding the Nisadraj Sammelan, which affects about 45 seats in Bihar.
