Nextgen GST reform is not only tax improvement but a sign of giving fast pace to nation-building

The current Nextgen GST reform is not just tax reform but a sign of speeding up nation-building. This is a decisive measure of the winging of the dreams of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s capable India, whose positive impact will soon be visible on the country and the world. Let us know that the meeting of the 56th GST Council, which was held on 3 September 2025 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, announced Nextgen GST reforms. In view of which it can be said that this is a bold, historical and visionary step of the BJP government, which has further strengthened its identity as the creator of the modern economic revolution of India.
Explain that these reforms, declared in the address of the historic Red Fort of Independence Day by Prime Minister Modi and the upcoming 22 September 2025 i.e. from the first day of Navratri, are actually a festival of relief and prosperity for 140 crore Indians. This is because the BJP-led NDA-led Modi government has turned the old complex structure simplified into a 2-slab structure friendly to citizens. Under this, 5 percent on essential commodities and 18 percent on general goods and services and only 40 percent tax on luxury and harmful items. Thus, this is the biggest tax reform ever since the implementation of GST in the year 2017.

Due to this, daily essential items, such as milk, rice, flour, tea, curd, books and Indian rotis are now either tax-free or are taxing at just 5 percent. This reflects PM Modi ji’s deep commitment to the poor and middle class so that no Indian family is cumbersome with their daily needs. It is also a repetition of the BJP government’s’ Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, everyone’s commitment to trust.
The special thing is that now health services have also been accessible. Because all health and life insurance policies have been taxed and GST has also been reduced to zero on life-saving medicines. Thus the BJP-led NDA government has shown its deep sensitivity to the grief and pain of the common man and has ensured dignity and relief in the hour of crisis, it is commendable. It seems that the RSS’s intellectual pressure has worked on the government.
You know that the peasant classes which are considered the backbone of India are at the center of reforms. For their benefit, GST has been reduced to 5 percent on tractors, irrigation systems, fertilizers and pesticides, which will reduce the cost of farming and increase rural prosperity. It has become clear that this public interest government actually stands with the farmers.
At the same time, housewives and families have also got direct benefits from this GST reform. Because household items like soap, shampoo, toothpaste, bicycle, refrigerator, TV and washing machine will now be cheaper. Thus, the BJP -led NDA government has shown that it cares about the simple living of every Indian family and is dedicated to public welfare despite the American shock in terms of tariffs. This is a privilege for common Indians. The ground organizations like RSS-BJP were expected to have similar positive changes since 2014, which has now been completed.
This GST reform has also helped to fulfill young aspirations, as GST cuts on small cars and motorcycles will make them cheaper for buyers for the first time. At the same time, their increasing demand will also create employment, which shows Modi ji’s commitment to youth empowerment.
At the same time, the recent changes will also strengthen the high speed infrastructure development, because the tax on cement has been reduced from 28 percent to 18 percent. This will reduce the cost of the houses of the people and special people will also get an opportunity for additional savings. This will increase the speed of infrastructure projects in the near future, which will create millions of jobs. Let us tell you that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, infrastructure development is not only a policy but also a strong mission of nation-building.
Economists are of the opinion that the existing unprecedented GST change will also benefit small businesses considered the backbone of MSME employment. This has given them an opportunity for unprecedented development. At the same time, after the Congress’s long neglect period of simple compliance of GST, AI based monitoring and fast refunds, the BJP government has given them innovation, expansion and strength, which is being described as a commendable initiative.
Needless to say that all these reforms are directly considered supplemented by the BJP’s self -reliant India, Make in India, Startup India and Digital India. Therefore, by reducing the cost and reducing the red tape, PM Modi has shown that reforms come not only by slogans but due to real action.
The current GST improvement will also benefit the textile and fertilizer industry, which had been suffering from the long -standing structure, as now they will also get direct benefit from the rationalization of GST rates. Thus, it not only promotes the industry but also reflects the decisive and responsible rule of the BJP.
This initiative of the government will also empower the middle class. This is because the BJP-led NDA government has given him unmatched relief under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, in contrast to the Congress, which used the middle class as a tax machine, because now essential items are tax-free and aspirations are cheaper. This will also increase business. At the same time, GST simplification has reduced India’s logistic cost, making Indian goods more competitive globally. Once again, BJP’s GST reforms have proved the vision of making India an economic superpower.
The important thing is that the GST Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) will be started by December 2025. For this, the BJP government is ensuring that the troubles that have been suffering for years should end and businesses get justice, transparency and fast solutions. As far as the empowerment of women entrepreneurs is concerned, simple GST and easy credit access will give women -led MSMEs an opportunity for expansion, employment and innovation. This is associated with the thinking of Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Nari Shakti is the driver of India’s progress’.
As far as the collective economic impact of this collective government decision is concerned, Nextgen GST reforms are estimated to increase GDP by 1–1.2 percent and a decrease of more than 1 percent in inflation. This reflects the balanced view of the development and stability of the BJP government. The question is that when the world is struggling with recession, then India remains the fastest growing big economy at the rate of 7.8 percent under BJP rule. This is a proof of BJP’s decisive and visionary governance under the leadership of Modi ji.
In such a situation, it will not be said that the difference between UPA vs NDA will now be felt clearly. Because during the UPA era where VAT was applied on flour, rice and tea; At the same time, he is tax-free in the NDA government. It is clear that the Congress made only promises, while the BJP showed the real change. And eventually it would be expedient to say that Nextgen GST reforms have not just reforms but under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have become a sign of nation-building. These initiatives give relief to every citizen, encourage every industry and take India closer to the dream of “developed India 2047”. Thus it can be felt that development has now reached the ground due to the formation of double engine government and triple engine government of the same party in the country. It is now going to be seen very soon in the poor.
