Opposition MPs in Constitution House will do mock voting tomorrow before the Vice Presidential elections

Opposition MPs will be informed about the voting process for the Vice Presidential election to be held on Tuesday (September 9, 2025) on Monday (September 8, 2025). Sources in the India alliance said that after giving information about the voting process of the Vice Presidential election, mock voting will be held at the Central Hall of the Constitution House (Old Parliament House) at around 2:30 pm on Monday (September 8).

In the Vice Presidential election to be held on Tuesday (September 9), the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate CP Radhakrishnan and opposition joint candidate B.K. There is a direct contest between Sudarshan Reddy. This time both the candidates are from South India. Radhakrishnan is from Tamil Nadu while Reddy is from Telangana.

The Vice President has described the election as an ideological battle by the opposition, while the numbers are in favor of the ruling NDA. Election Officer Rajya Sabha General Secretary PC Modi has said that the voting will be held on Tuesday (September 9) in the room number F-101, Vasudha, Vasudha for the Vice Presidential election. The voting process will start at 10 am on September 9 and will end at 5 pm.

As a judge of the Supreme Court, Reddy ordered the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to take all the steps to bring back the illegally kept in bank accounts abroad.

How many members are there in the electoral college in the Vice Presidential election,

For the 17th Vice Presidential election, the electoral college includes 233 elected members of the Rajya Sabha (currently five seats are vacant), 12 nominated members of the Rajya Sabha and 543 elected members of the Lok Sabha (currently one seat is vacant). There are a total of 788 members (currently 781) in the electoral college.
