On Sunday (September 14, 2025) in the Asia Cup 2025, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has retaliated on the statements of Spiritual Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji for the India vs Pakistan match and advised the country to avoid such thinking people.
Posting on the social media platform ‘X’, Asaduddin Owaisi wrote, ‘This man was threatening civil war in India on the Babri Masjid issue, now he has become a pacifist. Instead of Trump, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji can apply for the Nobel Peace Prize. God should protect India from such ‘nationalists’.

Earlier, while addressing a gathering, Owaisi said, ‘The Chief Minister of Assam, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, who raises all the questions, is the only question to them, whether they are not so powerful in them that Pakistan, who killed our 26 innocent people in Pahalgam, refuse to play matches with them.’
The AIMIM chief raised the question and said, ‘If your daughter had died, you would have played this match’. Attacking PM Modi, he said that if the PM of India said that blood and water cannot flow together, terrorism will not be wasted, then how can he approve BCCI for a cricket match?
Spiritual Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said this
Please tell that during a conversation with journalists, spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said, ‘The games should be left to us. Politics should not interfere in sports, but unfortunately it is not so. I leave this decision to the youth of my country.
He further said, ‘If they want to play, they should not stop anyone. Sports unite people from all over the world. Players are not politicians, they are free. We should find every path so that we can bring more peace in the society.
