Athawale targeted Rahul Gandhi on the issue of SIR
Earlier on August 7, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale attacked the Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha on the issue of Special Voter Revision (SIR). He had said, “There is no power in the allegations made on the SIR of the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Lok Sabha.” The Election Commission is calling Rahul Gandhi, but he is not going. The entire opposition with them is hindering the proceedings of the House, which is not a good thing. They should go to the Election Commission and present their side.
No facts in Rahul Gandhi’s allegations- Athawale
He also said that the Election Commission is an independent institution and has constitutional rights. He has no relation with the government. Athawale further said, “I think there is no fact in Rahul Gandhi’s allegations.” The voter list is prepared under the jurisdiction of the Election Commission. They have the right to decide which documents should be presented. ”
