Sifat Kaur Samra, Anjum Mudgil and Ashi Chauke’s trio won the gold medal in the women’s 50m rifle three positions on Tuesday at the Asian Shooting Championships. World record holder Samra scored 589 while Ashi scored 586 and Anjum was 578.

World record holder Samra scored 589 while Ashi scored 586 and Anjum was 578. The three topped the top position with a total of 1753 points. Japan finished second with 1750 points and South Korea with 1745 points.

Samra and Ashi reached the second and fifth position in the qualification and also reached the individual class finals respectively. India’s Shreeka was at the top of the Sadangi qualification, but she was playing only for ranking points, so Samra and Ashi reached the finals in the first and fourth place. Two -time Olympian Anjum finished 22nd of 41 shooters.

Sifat Kaur Samra set the world record by winning the gold medal in the women’s 50m rifle three position event at the 2022 Asian Games. She has also represented India in the women’s 50m rifle three position event at the 2024 Pair Olympics.
