Chinese Ambassador Shoo Faihong said on Thursday (August 21, 2025) that China completely opposed India’s threat to the US up to 50 percent and increase it. Shoo Faihong said, “The US has imposed a tariff of up to 50% on India and threatened to put more tariffs. China strongly opposed it. The silence only promotes the crook. China will stand firmly with India.”
Addressing a program organized here, Faihong also said that fees and trade “war” are disrupting the global economic and business system. This comment of the Chinese Ambassador has come at a time when the phase of improvement in India-China relations is being seen.
India and China misleans many measures for mutual relations
India and China on Tuesday announced several measures for “stable, associate and prophet” relations. These include maintaining peace along the border, reopening border trade, promoting investment flows and restoring direct air service as soon as possible. The announcements made with the aim of realizing the “complete” development capacity of the two Asian giants have come at a time when the tension in Indo-US relations is increasing in India-American relations over the trade and fee policies of US President Donald Trump.

Addressing the program organized at IIC here, the Chinese ambassador mentioned the fees levied by the US on various countries. He said, “America imposed a fee of up to 50 percent on India and also threatened to increase it. China completely opposed this. ”
