Now a media report has revealed that the Oval Invisables will be known as ‘Mi London’. This new name will be applicable from the next season. According to The Telegraph, the name of Oval Invisables will be changed to ‘Mi London’ before The Handrade season 2026. Before the start of the 2025 season, the bid for at least 49 percent stake of The Hundred teams began to be bid. Of these, the Mi franchise had bid for the Oval Invisables team, whose valuation was stated to be 123 million pounds. Since Mumbai Indians have bought 49 percent stake, for which it will have to pay more than 60 million pounds. Which will be more than Rs 700 crore in Indian currency.

The 49 percent stake of the Oval Invisables is now with the Mumbai Indians, the remaining 51 percent owner is still Surrey County Club. According to The Telegraph’s report, Surrey wanted the Oval Invisables to get the same name, yet the team will be named Mi London from the next season.

The Mumbai Indians franchise has now become a total of 6 teams worldwide. The Mumbai Indians team plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Women’s Premier League (WPL) run by BCCI. Mumbai Indians are owned by Mi New York in Major League Cricket (MLC) of America. Apart from this, Mi Cape Town in South Africa’s SA20, Mi Emirates in International League T20 and Oval Invinates in the Handrade League of England, all are owned by Mi franchise.
