Weather Today: Alert for 41 districts of UP today, heavy rain warning in Bihar-MP, schools closed in 8 districts of Rajasthan, trouble in mountains

Rain continues to wreak havoc across the country these days. Monsoon is raining in many states. There is a period of heavy rains from Uttar Pradesh-Bihar, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh to hilly states Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued rain alert in many states on Tuesday (August 26, 2025).

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued rain alert again in the capital Delhi as well as the NCR. In the next 2 hours, rain is going to be rained at different places of the capital. There is also a possibility of lightning fall. According to the IMD, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain from 26 August to 30 August.

Heavy rain alert in 41 districts of UP
People of Uttar Pradesh may have to face stormy rains again today. According to the Meteorological Department Lucknow, on Tuesday and Wednesday, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Gonda, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Ambedkarnapranagar, Saharanpur, Shamli, Shamranpur, Shamlah, Shamranpur, Shamli, Shamphalnagar, Bal Torrential rains have been issued in Hapur, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Amroha, Sambhal and Meerut. During this time there is also an alert of celestial electricity and thunderstorms.

According to the Meteorological Department Patna, the rain alert has been issued again in Bihar today. According to the alert, there is a possibility of heavy rains, celestial lightning and thunderstorms in Western Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Gaya, Aurangabad, Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas, Kaimur, Purnia, Madhepura, Kishanganj and Katihar.

Warning of heavy rain in Madhya Pradesh
A warning of heavy rain has been issued in most districts of Madhya Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, if Malwa, Dindori, Shivpur Kala, Umaria, Shahdol, Anuppur.

Schools closed in 8 districts of Rajasthan
Due to heavy rains in Rajasthan, many parts of the state have been flooded, due to which flood -like conditions have been created in cities, towns and villages. Some districts including Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Dungarpur, Hanumangarh, Chittorgarh, Dausa received rain on Monday. In view of the situation, Kota University has decided to postpone the examinations to be held on August 26. Even today, orders have been issued to close schools in 8 districts due to heavy rains.

Yellow alert issued in Uttarakhand
The Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert of heavy to heavy rains in Dehradun, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts today. In other districts, there is a possibility of rains of lightning with lightning shining and roaring. The weather situation is expected to remain the same till the next 29 August.

793 roads closed in Himachal Pradesh
In view of bad weather in Himachal Pradesh, orders have been issued to close schools in Una, Chamba, Kullu, Mandi, Kangra and Bilaspur, Solan, Hamirpur on Tuesday. 793 roads have been closed in the state including Ai-Kallu, Mandi-Kallu, Mandi-Pathankot, Jalandhar-Mandi and Bharmour-Pathankot highway due to rain-bahkal. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Red and Kullu-Mandi districts in Chamba and Kangra on Tuesday.
