The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be held on September 28, on the same day there will be a new appointment for the posts of Chairman, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Joint Secretary. According to a report by the Times of India, the current BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has sent the message of the 94th annual meeting to all the state cricket associations. This meeting will be held in Mumbai -based BCCI headquarters. Board President Roger Binny has been over 70, so he has to leave the post of president.

Let me tell you that the final of the Asia Cup 2025 is to be played in Dubai on 28 September itself. This means that no high official of BCCI will be able to reach the final match live. In this meeting, a decision has to be taken on the post of BCCI President, which is currently lying vacant. On the other hand, the 6-year term of IPL chairman Arun Singh Dhumal has been completed, due to which he can go to a 3-year compulsory cool-off period.
Devjit Saikia is almost certain to continue to be the secretary, who took over the post of secretary after Jai Shah’s resignation. Prabhtej Bhatia and Rohan Desai are also likely to continue in their respective positions. It is reported that Anirudh Chaudhary can replace him as an IPL chairman after Arun Dhumal went on a break.

By the way, most of the officers can remain in their respective positions. But in the 94th annual meeting, appointment is to be made to the post of Chairman, Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary and Treasurer.
