The monsoon has once again gained momentum in Bihar. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding rain in 24 districts of the state. These districts are expected to rain intermittent rains for the next three days. Along with this, lightning is also expected to cause lightning and strong wind at a speed of 40 km per hour.
According to the Meteorological Department, in the last 24 hours, heavy rains were recorded in many districts including Patna, Supaul, Nalanda, Muzaffarpur, Motihari and Chapra. The department has appealed to the people. Yolo alert is going on. All people should be cautious and stayed in safe places with family.

Maximum temperature recorded 34 degrees Celsius
The capital Patna recorded 40.6 mm of rain on Friday. The day -long torrential rains caused water logging in many areas. At the same time, the maximum temperature was recorded at 34 degrees Celsius. According to meteorologists, this seasonal changes are being seen due to the low-pressure area made in the Bay of Bengal.
Forecast next day
The Meteorological Department said that from September 20 to 22, there will be moderate to heavy rains in north and border districts. Spring rains are also expected in the districts of South Bihar.
- September 20: Heavy rains in Supaul, Araria, Khagaria, Begusarai, Lakhisarai and Kishanganj.
- September 23: Warning of heavy rains in Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj, Banka and Bhagalpur.
- September 24: Heavy rains alert in Patna, Nawada, Khagaria, Banka and Jamui.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature may fall by 2-3 degrees due to continuous rains. However, there is no possibility of major changes in minimum and maximum temperature in the next five days.
Rivers rising water level
The water level of rivers is also increasing rapidly due to continuous rains. The Bagmati river is currently in full swing. A population of about two lakhs is being affected by the water on the Pipa bridge at Bakuchi in Katra block of Muzaffarpur. People are forced to cross the bridge through water on foot. At the same time, Muzaffarpur recorded 17 mm rainfall. On the other hand, the water level of the Ganges in Munger is decreasing while the water level of Kosi river in Supaul has also declined.
Five people died due to chest
The thunderstorms also wreaked havoc in the midst of rain. Five people died in Siwan, Gaya and Vaishali districts, while many people were injured. These incidents took place in Gambhir village of Siwan, Bodh Gaya and Amas region of Gaya and Patepur area of Hajipur.
Appeal to be cautious in rain
Patna Meteorological Center has appealed to the people to be cautious during this time. Avoid getting out of the house unnecessarily amidst strong winds, lightning and heavy rains. Experts say that the wave of moisture from the Bay of Bengal is currently strong, which is directly affecting the weather of Bihar.
